Lila
Kedrova won the 1964 Best Supporting Actress Oscar as
Madame Hortense in Zorba the Greek, and 20 years later
won a Tony for the same role in the musical Zorba.
Anthony
Quinn played Zorba in both productions,
winning an Oscar nomination for the film but going unrewarded
for the stage version. He did receive a Tony nomination in
1961 for playing Henry II in Becket. |
