The answer is sort of. A trick question, but a fun story.
In 1956, the Academy nominated Elwood Ullman and Edward Bernds for writing
the musical High Society for Original Screenplay. Only problem was
that the musical wasn't original, having been based on the play
The Philadelphia Story. Turns out that the Academy had mistakenly voted for a Bowery Boys
programmer called High Society, thinking it was the Cole Porter musical.
The nominated writers graciously declined the nomination, saying that they were
victims of a case of mistaken identity
