The Sherlock Holmes Museum

Jon has been a big Sherlock Holmes fan since giving the worst performance of the role in history in William Gillette's play about the great detective. The museum at 238 Baker Street (a stone's throw from Holmes' address at 221B Baker Street) is a rather cheesy affair, but fun. The best part was when Jon walked into the recreation of Holmes' sitting room to find an elderly man reading in an overstuffed easy chair. Jon thought it was a fellow visitor taking a rest, but it turned out to be an actor portraying Holmes at the museum, even though he looked and acted nothing like the great detective. Jon was asked him to move out of camera range while he took his pictures.
