Jon as Pantalone and James Egan as Doctor Lombardi in Goldoni's A Servant of Two Masters at Granada Hills High School. Jon was nominated for the Flip Reede Award as Best Actor in the Los Angeles City School District for the production, which led to his own succesful adaptation of the play twenty years later.
Jon as Arthur in David Mamet's Squirrels at California State University, Northridge directed by Jason Fogelson.

Two community theatre roles: Jon as Claudio in Measure for Measure, and as the title role in William Gillette's Sherlock Holmes. Jon performance in the latter (at the tender age of 20) may have been the worst depiction of the character since Conan Doyle created him.
