on The Learning Channel's A Dating Story, a "reality"
show that presents a mini-documentary of a blind date supposedly
set up by friends of the daters. Jon was asked to appear on the
show by a college buddy who was a segment producer. Jon and his
date didn't hit it off, but the episode was shown once a month on
TLC for years, netting Jon fan mail from several states and even
a phone call from a woman in Oregon who claimed to be his soulmate.
